Gillian Small-Kota, LCSW, offers telehealth-only counseling throughout Alaska for children, adults, families, and special needs populations. She specializes in trauma, identity, crisis care, and neurodivergence.
Gillian Small-Kota is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing telehealth services throughout Alaska from GE Family Services' Anchorage office. As Chief Clinical Officer, Gillian also supervises graduate interns and pre-licensed clinical social workers, offering guidance grounded in both clinical excellence and personal authenticity.
Gillian’s approach is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a space where they can be fully themselves without fear of judgment or the need to mask. She creates a safe, affirming, and open-minded therapeutic environment where clients of all ages—from infants and youth to adults and elders—can heal and grow.
Drawing from a wealth of experience in inpatient and outpatient care, NICU and maternity units, and community-based mental health with unhoused youth, Gillian tailors treatment plans using humanistic, person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies. Her passion for working with children with special needs is informed by both professional expertise and personal experience as a special needs parent.
